​Community low-cost spay/neuter program process - Residents of Rabun County Only

You will be asked a series of question:

  • Your name, address and contact phone number.
  • Name of pet, male or female, breed, color, age and weight.
  • Proof of Rabies vaccine must be presented or your pet will receive vaccine for a fee of $6.50.

Your form will be processed, taken to Rabun Animal Hospital and then you will receive a phone call from RAH to schedule. RAH offers additional optional services that can be done at the time of surgery for an additional cost.

These additional optional costs are your responsibility and are not covered by Rabun Paws 4 Life, Inc.


Surgeries are performed at Rabun Animal Hospital at 220 Cathey Road, Mountain City, GA. You will be asked again about additional optional services that can be done at the time of surgery for an additional cost. These additional optional costs are your responsibility and are not covered by Rabun Paws 4 Life.


Animals need to be dropped off between 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. and are available to be picked up between 5:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. that same day. Animals are not boarded overnight.


Payment is required at the time of pick-up following the surgery.

Spay/neuter is one of the greatest gifts you can provide your pet, your family and your community. These are routine medical procedures performed at little risk to your pet.

     We know that spay and neuter programs are the only way to proactively relieve the pet overpopulation problem in our community. We offer this low-cost spay/neuter and rabies vaccine program to ensure that Rabun County families can afford to keep their pets healthy.

PAIN MEDICATION (Optional additional cost.) $22.00 - $26.00.


FULL TERM PREGNANCIES AND MALES WITH UNDESCENDED TESTICLES ARE EXCLUDED FROM THE COMMUNITY PROGRAM.
