• Foster care can help save an animal’s life when a shelter is full.

• Some animals don’t do well in a shelter environment because they are frightened

or need a little extra care.
• Newborn animals that need to be nursed or bottle-fed usually need foster care.
• Some animals need time to recover from an illness or injury before adoption.

Our foster program is a rewarding experience for the foster families and the animals!

Many animals (dogs and cats) are in need of special socialization that can happen only in a family environment. Some animals have special medical needs and a home environment will help

them heal more quickly or be more comfortable during recovery and treatment. Some animals

have terminal conditions and hospice care in a loving home environment will allow their

last days surrounded by love is what they need.

Whatever the reason, these animals need some extra love and care before they can be adopted. Providing foster care for a few days, weeks, or months can be a lifesaving gift for an animal.

Please contact our shelter team today to sign up and find out more information about becoming a foster family!
