How Can I Help?

We work hard to make sure that we take care of all of our pets here at Rabun Paws 4 Life, Inc.. But, unfortunately we can't do it without people like you and your donations of time and money. So, if you ever feel like you want to be a part of our family and help some of the best animals around, check us out.

We know you've always wanted a dog or cat. And now's the time friends! We are here to help you get ready for your new family member, as soon as you're ready to take the big plunge. Owning

an animal is, after all, one of the most gratifying things you can do.

Look into his beautiful turquoise green eyes… you want to take him home with you!

Shallow is a drop-dead gorgeous guy, 6 years

old, Maine Coon mix and was an owner

surrender, don’t know the reason why.

Shallow greatly enjoys playing with any toy

that moves, but he also enjoys lounging

around, too. He really enjoys being up high so

that he can see all his surroundings. He gets

along well with other cats once he gets to

know them or he could be your only cat.  He is also good around dogs, too!

The Maine Coon part of him is known as the “gentle giants” and possess above-average intelligence, making them relatively easy to train. They are known for being loyal to their family.

Shallow is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines and ready to go home with his forever family! Come meet Shallow today.

Adoption FAQs

“Hi, my name is Kalypso!” She has been at

her second home... the Paws shelter since

May 2014 and looking for a home where she

can be the “Queen Bee.” She may not be

the prettiest to some but we think she is

beautiful and extremely confident! Kalypso

is a 3 year old cur/lab mix. She was owner

surrendered... no reason given.

Kalypso loves all people, really sweet and

walks great on leash. She definitely is a dominant female who wants to be an only

dog and kids, she would be best in a home with teenagers. She has never bitten or tried to bite anyone. No cats and seems to be aggressive to female dogs... at least at the shelter however she could react differently in an environment outside the shelter.

Come meet this sweet girl who deserves a chance at a loving and safe home. She would make a great ride along pal!
